COVID-19 Company Update 24/03/2020

Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update
DATE: 24 March, 2020

As you will be very aware from recent Government and Media output, the country is experiencing a daily increase in the number of cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) being reported, and that all households are required to self- isolate for at least the next three weeks.
In response to this country wide health emergency, we at South Coast Alarms have drawn up the following response to provide our customers with information regarding our Service Continuity Plans and we would like to inform all our customers that we are operating an emergency service ONLY.
At South Coast Alarms, we want to reassure our customers that we are taking the situation seriously and that all precautions necessary are being taken to ensure that the welfare of our staff and customers is maintained at all times.
South Coast Alarms has an extensive business continuity program that outlines our Emergency Response across a number of scenarios. We take a comprehensive approach to service continuity, including the potential effects of an outbreak such as COVID-19. Like many organisations, we are continually monitoring and following all government guidance provided by Public Health England and their recommendations with regards to the COVID-19 virus have been implemented. Due to the changing nature of the situation, please visit this GOV.UK webpage for the most up to date information published by the government:

All visits to our offices by Customers, Suppliers and Certification Bodies have now been suspended and access limited to essential staff only.
Where possible, Employees who able to work from home will do so, and will be granted Secure Access to our database and telephone system (controlled via authorised contact) so that they can continue to work.
At present, any commitments in terms of attendance to services or installations within the next three weeks have been suspended. Customer visits planned for later in the year are currently under review and we will keep our customers up to date with this via our social media channels and e-bulletins as the situation evolves.
South Coast Alarms may when required in communication with customers re-schedule any CCTV, Intruder and Access Control maintenance routine inspections until a time when it is deemed that normal working practices can be safely resumed.
Sales enquiries that would normally have resulted in a site visit, will now be dealt with in such a way as to minimise the risk of infection to all parties concerned if possible.
Kind regards and keep safe
Andy Grant-Jones
Managing Director
