About South Coast Alarms Ltd

A little about us – we have been established for over 30 years, and have installed around 4000 security systems throughout Dorset. We are a family run business formed by the present Managing Director Andy Grant-Jones and Company Secretary Trudie Grant-Jones. Initially working from a spare room at home, progressing to our garage conversion and then renting office/workshop space at Basepoint Centre in Weymouth. We are now operating from our own commercial freehold property at 167b Portland Road in order to expand our business and offer an enhanced service to our much valued clients.

In the year 2000 we were joined by Mark Grant-Jones who trained with us as an Advanced Modern Apprentice and is now our Technical Services Manager and a Company Director.  Geographically we cover most of the Dorset area.  We specialise in intruder alarm installations, CCTV and access control.

We now employ seven people and have three installation/service teams.

            When we had the alarm serviced, my wife told me the visiting engineer was excellent and I was looking forward to meeting him, but instead, Alex came to fit the new sensor yesterday and she was absolutely brilliant in all that she said and did. She asked where I would prefer the sensor to be placed, while thoroughly explaining where would be most effective in the event of a break in. When needing me to enter the alarm code, she practised discretion by turning her back and explained the reason for all her actions at all times.
      Alex left the job clean and tidy with no mess whatsoever and was professional and courteous in every way. It was a joy to welcome her to my home and without hesitation, I would recommend South Coast Alarms as an example of what customer service should be.
